Michigan State has a huge matchup with Ohio State in Columbus on Saturday as the season starts to intensify with the non-conference part of the schedule in the rearview mirror.

The Buckeyes are 12-1 overall, 2-0 in the Big Ten, #14 in the AP Poll and #12 in the Coaches Poll – and a road victory for Michigan State would go a long way toward firming up the Spartans’ chances of being one of the leading contenders for the conference crown.

Later today, we’ll have commentary on the keys to the matchup with Ohio State and a game prediction.

In addition to the specifics related to the game with the Buckeyes, SpartansWire will have thoughts on what the Big Ten race looks like, Spartans who may be realistic candidates for national Player of the Year honors, and current national power rankings.

Standby, folks….
