Thanks to an informative and smart tweet sent out into the universe from ESPN’s Brett McMurphy (below), we can take a look at the way the smart folks at LVSuperBook have announced their odds for each of the Big Ten teams’ chances to win the Big Ten Championship.

It’s curious – yet not-at-all surprising – to see how the odds looks on a piece of paper.

I have a very reliable source based in Las Vegas who gave me this very reliable (and confidential) batch of information regarding odds that LVSuperBook will be announcing in the coming days:

  • 7/5 that former really important ESPN on-air personality Chris Berman wakes up sweating and thinking about eating a meatball hoagie for breakfast but, instead, goes straight to his gym where he exercises for four hours with free weights, running, and a Pilates class.

  • 6/1 that CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin is a pleasure to spend time with and that the accusations of his ethics violations of yore are all a product of a media conspiracy to cause him harm.

  • 5/2 that brilliant media mogul and scribe Bill Simmons has a lot of friends.

  • 7/3 that the aforementioned Bill Simmons is knowledgable about any topic that features persons or things or events unrelated to the Boston Celtics.

  • 11/9 that Lane Kiffin’s ex-wife fully supports Kiffin’s wish to live a lifestyle that allows more room for him to enjoy the freedoms that a successful man desires.

  • 7/5 that Hope Solo is cool and generous and genuinely interested in what the other person is saying as she’s engaged in a conversation with that person.

  • 5/1 that Tiger Woods is right on the cusp of recapturing his greatness and that he will win six more majors between now and 2020.

  • 8/3 that Tiger Woods played clean and free of any enhancements when he was winning a lot of majors before he fell off of a cliff and right into the kitchen of a Waffle House in Swainsboro, Georgia.

  • 3/2 that the J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach at UMAA is smart and likable and right on the cusp of his own Tiger Woods-esque explosion of greatness.

  • 9/7 that UMAAers are not saying this to themselves as they lie awake at night: “He’s gonna win the division and the conference and the national championship this year, right?  I mean, he has to because that’s what he came here to do. He’s gonna win all of the things.  He’s gonna win so many things.  So, he’s going to win and win and win and he’s going to really start to win in a big way this year.  This is the year when he’s going to win so many things.  And he’s going to beat Ohio State because it’s only fair and logical that we finally beat Ohio State.  And Michigan State doesn’t really matter to us.  Michigan State doesn’t really matter to us.  Michigan State doesn’t really matter to us.  Michigan State doesn’t really matter to us.  Mark Dantonio doesn’t frighten me.  Mark Dantonio doesn’t frighten me.  Mark Dantonio doesn’t frighten me.  Marl Dantonio doesn’t frighten me.  Michigan State doesn’t really matter to us.  And we’re going to beat Michigan State this year but even if we don’t beat Michigan State, Michigan State doesn’t really matter to us because they don’t matter to us and they are not a rival of ours.  Michigan State is not one of our rivals because they do not matter to us.  Michigan State is not one of our rivals.  And our J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach is definitely going to beat Michigan State this year but even if he doesn’t beat Michigan State and we lose to Michigan State, Michigan State doesn’t matter to us because they don’t matter to us and they are not our rival.”
