Once again, @MSU_Football has chosen a terrific way to commemorate another day in the 100-day countdown to kick off.

Today, it’s a creative look at the all-purpose yards Le’Veon Bell racked up during his time as a Spartan.

Let’s forget, for the moment, hat Le’Veon has gone on the become one of the best players in all of the NFL since he left East Lansing.

For right now, let’s admire this incredible statistic – in just three seasons, Bell piled up 4096 total yards for the Spartans.

He rushed for 3,346 yards – good for seventh all time in the history of Michigan State.

He ran for 33 touchdowns – good for sixth all time in the history of Michigan State.

He carried the ball 671 times – good for sixth all time in the history of Michigan State.

In his junior season, he averaged 137.9 yards rushing per game – good for first in the Big Ten and third in all of college football.

In that junior season, he became the first Spartan since Tico Duckett to win the Big Ten overall rushing title with 1,793 yards on the ground.  This was the second most yards in a single season (behind only Lorenzo White’s 1985 total of 2066) and the fifth most in the nation for the season.

And, of course, he’s gone on to become one of the top stars of the NFL.

Le’Veon – SpartansWire joins @MSU_Football in paying tribute to your incredible career as a Spartan.

We’re all looking forward to seeing you back in East Lansing for a ball game this coming season when you have the chance.
